Sprout by HP
HP set out to release a new, revolutionary product. Their goal is to merge the digital and physical world, and bring creativity to everyone — all as a way to position themselves above cutting edge technology. Iterations came first with the name Cre-8, and later the name changed to Sprout. Logo designs ranged from script, dimensional, stenciled modular pieces, and ended up being custom typeset and manipulated from HP’s exclusive brand typeface. Occurring every year in September, Nickelodeon presents a full day of play for children all over the world, called Worldwide Day of Play. At this time, the television network goes blank in encouragement to get kids up and going. Nickelodeon was looking to refresh their logo for this day of celebration. While many logo iterations and experiments were presented, the final logo ended up looking slightly different than these options.
Southern restaurant in Mobile, Alabama focuses on locally and regionally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients. They feature small plates of traditionally southern food items with a contemporary influence. In branding their restaurant, they wanted an addition of hand-crafted, organically drawn illustration of rooted vegetables to accompany their logo, and to be used across different materials. Martin Patrick 3 holds a curated collection of menswear, apothecary and other design items all focused on allowing men to look and feel their best. In expanding their retail shop, they were bringing in their home, furniture and interior design collections and talents together to fill their beautiful space. In launching the expansion, they opted for a rebrand of logo, website and communication materials. Their classic and traditional style was slightly refreshed to a modernized sophistication. The first annual Women’s Health, Beauty and Style event was put on to bring together a variety of vendors and boutiques in the fashion, health and beauty industries. Along with creating the identity for the event, we made a giftcard set of note cards featuring fun and stylish encouraging quotes about women, beauty and elegance.
Farm Credit Mid-America offers cooperative agricultural lending to customers throughout Indian, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. The company was evolving and needed to include a more enthusiastic brand presence. Along with refreshing the identity, we produced a plan to introduce and easily adapt employees to the new look. This included new merchandise, swag, brandbook, a tour and vehicle and easy access to all collateral pieces. We even went as far as promoting the new identity through painting a barn. Many new brand materials were created for Farm Credit, such as the annual customer service events, brand launch tours, new office openings, and the Farm Credit online store. Building custom bicycles, and providing accessories and experiences in the cycling world, Handsome Cycles believes people are handsome—so they make their bicycles. After many years of selling and dealing bicycles around the world, Handsome opened their first retail shop in Minneapolis. To celebrate the launch of their beautiful new shop, and success of their brand, they wanted to refresh their logo. To be used on merchandise, bike frames, and communication materials, the new logo brought a refreshed style to their existing brand.
Chank Diesel runs a Minneapolis-based independent font designing business. After 10 years of selling his fonts with the same logo, he decided it was time for a makeover. His request were based around these words exactly: “strong, friendly, smart & funny”. His new logo uses two of his fonts - Swingdancer and Adrianna.
Non-profit organization, Leonardo’s Basement provides engineering, art and technology workshop classes to people of all ages and backgrounds to apply the powers of imagination, curiosity, problem solving and risk taking. As a concrete organization, they were looking to revamp their visual brand, online presence, structure and positioning. Along with a team formed together by EPIC (Engaging Philanthropy, Inspiring Creatives), we gave them a variety of ways to implement their brand and visual communications to attract the attention of kids, adults, corporations, donations and funding. FRESH Artist Management represents illustrators, designers, photographers and directors. Their approach in finding talent and outlook for business is bold, modern, clean and fresh. Being such a common phrase, “fresh” was needing a look that would allow itself to stand apart from the expected, and to stand out amongst other artist representation companies.
A personal experimental project of infographics representing a blend of fashion, design, color and form. Each day, hues of the clothing I wear is expressed through geometric vector form and color. The size of each color represents its proportion in comparison to other hues present on that day. Each month, a new theme and composition is released to display and visualize the hues together. Logo and identity system for a wedding and event planning business. Having a true passion for the story of Alice in Wonderland, we took hints of inspiration in ways that it could relate to the visuals, story text and theme. The results gave us an interchangeable, fun, bright and bold system that worked great for the personalized event planner to relay to her clients, as well as a successful overall brand system.
Platinum Dance Center
Platinum Dance Center focuses on establishing a personalized dance experience with superior dance instruction. Offering competitive, performance and technique classes, they provide a curriculum that is modern, fresh and engaging. They understand that each dancer is unique and they assist to establish individual goals of the dancers. With a strong internal community at the studio, an additional PDC logo was created for students and parents’ bags, tshirts, newsletters, invites etc, to separate from, yet still coincide, the official corporate branding.
Imagine Dance Music is a children’s music production company, dedicated to providing fun, upbeat music for children to listen and dance along to. The music is inspired by popular rhythms and beats. It’s fast-paced and full of energy. The energetic beats are accompanied by interactive dance terminology lyrics that make it easy for children to follow along and learn to dance. Midwest Performing Arts
Midwest Performing Arts based in Wisconsin is a dance studio providing the core technical dance and performance training. They focus on a wide variety of dance styles and artistic thinking, inspiring students to increase their body movement potential, physical health, and an appreciation of dance as an athletic art form. The visual identity is rooted in an abstract representation of a dancers basic movements, creating a palette of expressive glyphs, as if it were an illustrated language for a choreographers visual communication.
Liquor Village is a shop located in the Highland neighborhood of St.Paul Minnesota. Around for over thirty years, the quaint neighborly shop was recently taken over, and in need of a logo, identity and new signage.
Ashley Ballet Arts Academy is a traditional ballet school focusing on the classic technical training at all levels, providing the appropriate ballet foundation for all styles of dance.
