Break Rules Beautifully
Last week was the opening of “For the Love of Letters”, a typography and lettering art show put on by Hamilton Ink Spot in St.Paul, MN. I created, carved and printed my own poster using linoleum block printing. Titled Break Rules Beautifully, the print showcases typography and words to represent art as an expression rather than being completely legible. Because it’s ok to break the rules of typography and design—as long as it’s done beautifully. Edition of 25, three color and 11 linocuts printed on French paper size 20x26”.
