Angela

For the hours that my precious niece was able to experience this life, her impact on the loving family that surrounded her will forever live on in our hearts. Angela Faith Derus was the strongest most innocent, beautiful human I have ever gotten to know, hold and love. She will forever be cherished in my heart. 

Angela was diagnosed with Trisomy 13 when she was twelve weeks along—a rare chromosome abnormality, in which she most likely wouldn’t survive after birth. At just 31 weeks, my sister was induced with hopes for the chance to be able to hold her sweet girl. 

Angela’s day was September 25th in which she entered this world surrounded by so much love. After about 9 hours, she peacefully passed in the arms of her mommy and daddy. 

My heart aches every day for the pain that my sister and brother-in-law endure for the loss of their daughter. I will forever look up to their strength, bravery and courage for sharing their story, and their beauty and capacity for love as parents.
